WALNUT, Calif. -- Chelsea VanDeBrake, a redshirt junior at Washington State, ran the sixth-best 10,000m time in school history late Friday night at Hilmer Lodge Stadium at the 52nd Annual Mt. SAC Relays, contested at Mt. San Antonio College in Walnut, Calif.

VanDeBrake, from Yakima, ran a 10k time of 36-minutes, 10.24 seconds for eighth place in the women's University/Open race. A seldom-run event, the last time someone landed on the Cougar women's top 10 all-time best list was in 2006 when Kelly Ramirez ran a time of 36:51.53 at the Mt. SAC Relays.

In the same race, WSU junior Ashlee Wall (Walla Walla) ran a time of 37:33.17 for 28th.

Also Friday night, senior Mark Moeller (Spokane) ran a lifetime-best 10,000m time of 30:18.06 for 25th place in the men's Olympic Development University/Open race.

The Cougars track and field teams continue competing Friday and Saturday at the Mt.
