Cougar Alum Diana Pickler Wins Drake Relay Heptathlon

DES MOINES, Iowa -- Washington State alum Diana Pickler won the heptathlon at the Drake Relays Thursday with a meet record 6,040 points.

Pickler, a four-time All-American at WSU from Sachse, Texas, was an Olympian on the United States team at the 2008 Beijing Games. She was the third place finisher at the U.S. Olympic Trials but was injured during the first day of competition in China.

Pickler's score of 6,040 points is the second-best score in the world this season. She has a lifetime-best of 6,257 points.
