Men's Rowing Falls to Northeastern to Open Rowing Weekend
April 25, 2010
BOSTON – Oregon State men’s rowing began their racing weekend in Boston with a tough loss on Saturday in the varsity 8+ race against No. 7 Northeastern on the Charles River.
“Northeastern looked strong and rowed well this morning. We were behind from the start and scrambled too much trying to establish our rhythm,” head coach Steve Todd said. “We had a great opportunity today that we didn’t capitalize on.”
Tomorrow, the Beavers will race on the Charles River at 9:15 a.m. against Holy Cross. MIT was also scheduled to be in Oregon State’s first duel race of the season, but had to withdraw due to injury.
