No. 12 California Earns 11th Consecutive NCAA Regional Invitation

The No. 12 California Golden Bears women's golf team earned an invitation to the NCAA West Regionals. The Bears will be competing May 6-8 at the Stanford Golf Course, trying to advance to the NCAA Championships.
This is the 11th straight season that the Bears have qualified for the NCAA Regionals. The Bears are looking to earn their first trip back to NCAA Nationals since 2006.
This season, the NCAA Regional field was expanded to 72 teams playing at three regional sites. The top eight teams and top two individuals on non-advancing teams from each regional will advance to the NCAA Championships which will be held May 18-21 at the Country Club of Landfall in Wilmington, N.C.
The other 23 teams in the West Regional at Stanford include UCLA, Alabama, Arizona, Ohio State, Virginia, Stanford, LSU, Texas A&M, Texas, UC Davis, Arkansas, UNLV, San Jose State, San Francisco, Idaho, UC Irvine, Iowa State, Maryland, Colorado State, Oral Roberts, Texas State, Pennsylvania, and Penn State.
