ASU sophomore Carlota Ciganda became the Pac-10's first back-to-back conference champion after defeating teammate Juliana Murcia in a playoff. In rainy and chilly conditions throughout the week, Ciganda finished 2-under 214 (71-72-71) to end the final round tied for the lead with Murcia. She birdied the playoff hole to earn medalist honors and become only the second Pac-10 player to win the conference championship twice in her career. She is ASU's 11th individual Pac-10 Champion and the 15th Sun Devil conference medalist. This is Ciganda's first medalist honor of the season and third in her career.
