#2 ASU Takes Opener At UCLA 5-1
LOS ANGELES, Ariz. - The Friday night match-up was all it was billed to be at Jackie Robinson Stadium in Los Angeles, as the second-ranked Sun Devils faced off with the fourth-ranked UCLA Bruins. Arizona State came out with a 5-1 victory, thanks to a four-run eighth that broke a 1-1 tie. With the win, ASU improves to 36-5 on the year, 12-4 in the Pac-10. [Read more]

No. 20 Cal Baseball Tops Oregon State, 11-3
BERKELEY - The No. 20-ranked Cal baseball team scored 11 runs on 14 hits and received solid pitching from sophomore right-hander Erik Johnson, defeating Oregon State, 11-3, Friday (April 30) in the first game of a three-game Pac-10 series at Evans Diamond. Offensively, the Golden Bears were paced by junior second baseman Brian Guinn, who went 3-for-5 with an RBI double, while freshman third baseman Tony Renda and junior first baseman Mark Canha had two RBI apiece. Cal snapped a four-game losing streak (three of which were by one run) to improve to 24-15 overall and 9-7 in the conference. The Beavers drop to 21-15 and 4-9 in league play. [Read more] 

USC Shuts Out No. 19 Arizona, 6-0
LOS ANGELES - Sophomore right-hander Andrew Triggs (Nashville, Tenn.) threw seven scoreless innings and allowed only three hits Friday as the USC Trojans shut out the No. 19 Arizona Wildcats, 6-0, in the first game of a Pac-10 Conference series at Dedeaux Field. Triggs struck out eight while giving up just one walk as the Trojans handed Arizona freshman Kurt Heyer (6-1) his first loss of the season. [Read more]

Cougars Rally Past 17th-Ranked Oregon on the Diamond
EUGENE, Ore. -
