Gordon Gets Top Play Goal for Galaxy

Former Oregon State men's soccer standout Alan Gordon scored the game winner for the Los Angeles Galaxy Wednesday evening in a 1-0 win over the Colorado Rapids at Dick's Sporting Goods Park in Colorado.

Gordon who played at Oregon State from 2002-03 has been with the Galaxy since 2005. He drove in the game winner with a header at the corner of the net off of a Landon Donovan free kick.

The amazing diving header made the top spot on ESPN SportsCenter's top plays for Wednesday, May 5. The play can be found here.

Gordon ranks fifth all-time at Oregon State in career points with 59 in his two seasons with the program. He also ranks fourth all-time in goals with 26 and is tied for second in multi-goal games with six.
