Arredondo Makes Academic All-District

TUCSON -- Senior shortstop K'Lee Arredondo was named to the 2010 CoSIDA Academic All-District 8 first team Thursday, the second consecutive year that she has been honoroed by the organization.
Arredondo, a native of Tempe, Ariz., graduated this semester with a 3.55 GPA in her major of psychology and a minor in criminal justice. To be nominated for the award, a student-athlete must have a cumulative GPA of 3.3 or higher and be at least a sophomore academically.
On the field, Arredondo is currently hitting a career-high .369 and is second on the team in runs scored.
In 2009, Arredondo became the first Arizona player recognized for the academic honor since Autumn Champion was honored in 2006.
Arizona takes on Oregon in a three-game series in Eugene beginning tonight at 6 p.m.
