McLaughlin, Rowe & Thompson Highlight Women's Track On Day 1 Of Pac-10s

McLaughlin was third-fastest on the day in the 400m, running 53.74 to advance. She also finished 13th in the 200m (24.42) and anchored the 4x100m relay to the seventh-fastest time (45.81) of the day and a spot in Sunday's final.
Rowe was the fifth-fastest qualifier in the 100m hurdles, running 13.45. Thompson was the fastest qualifier in the 400m hurdles as she won in a time of 57.31. Ryann Krais also advanced to Sunday's final in the 400m hurdles as she was fourth overall in the prelims with a season-best time of 58.56. Krais also tied for eighth in the high jump with a clearance of 5-4.50.
Competition concludes on Sunday with running event finals, as well as several event finals.
*all running events are prelims except the steeple and 10,000m. Athletes qualifying to the finals of their events are denoted with a 'q.'
