May 19, 2010
Washington State University senior Kevin Tucker will represent the Cougars at the 2010 NCAA Division I Men's Golf Regional Championships beginning Thursday at the par-72, 7,104-yard Gold Mountain Golf Club in Bremerton, Wash.
Tucker, the No. 8 individual seed at the regional site, is scheduled to tee off at 10 a.m. Live results will be available HERE.
The three-day event is one of six regional championships played throughout the country, May 20-22. The Kennewick, Wash., native will be competing against 13 teams and nine other individuals at the Gold Mountain site, vying for the right to advance to the NCAA Championships.
The top five teams from each of the six regional sites and the low individual not a member of those teams will advance to the NCAA Championship June 1-6, at The Honors Course near Chattanooga, Tenn.
Tucker, who was named second-team All-Pacific-10 Conference earlier this month, will be competing at the regional championships for the second-straight year. He is the first men's golfer in school history to garner multiple individual postseason selections.
