Cougar Golf Adds Dalton

May 24, 2010

Branden Dalton has signed a valid financial aid agreement and will join the Washington State University men's golf team next season, Head Coach Walt Williams announced today.

Dalton, a second-team All-American each of the last two seasons for North Idaho College, tied for eighth place at last week's National Junior College Athletic Association National Championship. He has won five career tournaments for NIC, and he was the Scenic West Conference Most Valuable Player this spring.

'I am very excited to add Branden to our team,' Williams said. 'He is going to have an opportunity to come in and make an immediate impact for our program, and I fully expect him to do so.'

While playing for Fernley High School in Fernley, Nev., Dalton garnered four-straight league most valuable player awards, and was also named all-state in each of his four varsity seasons. He won the state championship his senior year, and was also a two-time Nevada junior state champion.
