Remynse and Schnack Advance at NCAA Doubles Championships

Athens, Ga. - UCLA women's tennis players Andrea Remynse and Yasmin Schnack moved a step closer to their goal of a national doubles title on Saturday, as the Bruin duo posted a quarterfinal victory at the NCAA Tennis Championships at Georgia's Dan Magill Tennis Complex.
Remynse and Schnack, the tournament's No. 4 seed, beat Miami's Gabriela Mejia and Laura Vallverdu, 7-6(9), 6-2. The win sets up a semifinal showdown against second-seeded Hilary Barte and Lindsay Burdette from Stanford on Sunday at 4:30 p.m. (EST).
Sunday will mark the sixth time this season that the two teams have faced off, with Stanford owning a 3-2 advantage. The last the two teams squared off was in the final of the Pac-10 Championships in Ojai. Remynse and Schnack won that match 6-1, 6-0.
