Sally Watson Named Honorable Mention All-American by National Golf Coaches Association

STANFORD, Calif. - Sally Watson, who had six top-10 finishes in her 11 events during her freshman season on The Farm, has been named an honorable mention All-American by the the National Golf Coaches Association (NGCA). She was also named to the NCGA's All-West Region team.
Watson played in all 11 events (31 rounds) for the Cardinal and posted the lowest stroke average on the team at 73.8. among her six top-10 finishes on the year included a seventh place showing at the NCAA West Regional and a ninth place finish at the recently concluded NCAA Championships in Wilmington, N.C. She was also the co-medalist at Stanford's Peg Barnard Invitational, which was held in February.
The Earlsferry, Scotland native shot five rounds under par on the year, capped off by a season-best 66 (-6) on the final day of the NCAA Championships, securing a ninth place finish.
Watson will represent Great Britain & Ireland against the United States team in the upcoming Curtis Cup matches, to be held at the Essex Country Club in Manchester-by-the-Sea, Mass., June 11-13. She also has qualified for the U.S. Women's Open Championship to be held in July at the Oakmont Country Club in Pennsylvania.
