June 4, 2010

STANFORD, Calif. - Stanford freshman Kristina Wong shot an even par-72 to finish first at a sectional qualifying event for the U.S. Women's Amateur Public Links Championship.

Wong's even par round at The Reserve at Spanos Park in Stockton gains her entry to the U.S. Women's Amateur Public Links Championship, which will be held at the Warren Course in South Bend, Ind., June 21-26.

Wong continues to play her best golf of the season during the late spring. She carded rounds of 72 and 67 on the final two days of the NCAA Championships and then missed qualifying for the U.S. Women's Open by just one stroke after rounds of 72-75 in the qualifier.
