Krug Just Misses Medal at Diving's World Cup

CHANGZHOU, China - Stanford graduate Cassidy Krug just missed medaling with partner Kassidy Cook in the finals of the 17th FINA World Cup three-meter synchronized diving event, finishing fifth with a socre of 318.30.
Cook and Krug, who reached the finals after a fourth place finish, missed the top-three podium by four points. The duo's routine of an inward 2 ½ pike in round four moved them from seventh to fifth paced by 72 points, where they remained for their final, back 2 ½ pike dive in round five for 75.60 points.
China's team of He Zi and Wu Minxia won gold with a score of 354.90, followed by Russa (323.52) and Canada's Jennifer Abel and Emile Heymans (322.50). Australa's Briony Cole and Sharleen Stratton (320.61) were fourth.
