Track & Field Adds 10 To Incoming Class

Franklin P. Johnson Director of Track and Field Edrick Floreal has announced the addition of 10 student-athletes (six men and four women) to next fall's incoming class. The class joins the group of 12 women and 10 men that were announced earlier in the spring.
The following student-athletes will be freshman next fall. They will join the original group announced HERE.
Olivia Bryant - Millfield School - London, England
A native of London, England, Bryant is an accomplished triathlete. In addition, she is a talented distance runner with a best of 10:09 for 3000 meters. She was the runner-up at the under-20 Hampshire League Cross Country Championships.
Anna Dailey - Garfield High School - Seattle, Washington
Dailey is currently having a great senior year in the state of Washington. She won her first individual cross-country title last fall and is following it up with an excellent track season. She has posted personal bests this spring of 2:11.92 for 800 meters and 4:49.41 for 1,600 meters to win both events at her country championships. She also recently won the State 3,200-meter title in 10:28.91.
Marissa Ferrante - Aptos High School - Aptos, California
Ferrante continues the tradition of top runners to join the Stanford program from Aptos High School. She finished fourth in her division at the 2009 California State Cross Country Championships. She has a personal best of 4:52.04 for the 1600 meters.
Eda Karesin - Harvard University
Karesin is an experienced javelin thrower. She is the Harvard University school record holder in the event. The native of Croatia was the Heptagonal Conference Champion and has thrown a best of 157-7 (48.02m).
Travis Edwards - Royal High School - Simi Valley
The southern California native has range from 1600 to 5000 meters. He ran a personal best of 4:11.73 for 1,600 meters at the 2009 California State Meet and this past fall was sixth over 5000 meters at the 2009 California State Meet in cross country.
James Patton Jones - American School - London, England
Patton is a long jump and triple jumper from England. Last spring he jumped over 22 feet in the long jump and 46 feet in the triple jump. He also has experience in the sprints.
Alex Lee - Skyline High School - Sammamish, Washington
Lee is a talented short sprinter with national caliber marks from 60 to 200 meters. Last spring he was the 4A District champion at 100 meters with a time of 10.87. Most recently, he pulled off the 100 and 200 meter double at the King-Co Conference Championships.
William Matthews - Harrow School - Farnham Royal, England
Matthews is an emerging decathlete. He has excellent sprint credentials with a 10.87 100-meter personal best and has experience in all the jumps and throws.
Zach O'Rourke - Tabor Academy - Marion, Massachusetts
O'Rourke is a multi-event athlete from Massachusetts. He was the 2009 Division 3 Massachusetts Prep School Champion in both the high jump and the javelin. He was also a member of his school's 4x400-meter relay team that won the Prep School State Championships.
Paul Summers - Gunn H.S. - Palo Alto, CA
Summers is one of the top returning 3,200-meter runners in California with a best of 9:13.68. He has had success both on the track and in cross country. This fall he was the CCS finals champion in cross country with a three-mile time of 14:41 at Crystal Springs Park in Belmont, CA.
