STANFORD, Calif. - Three rowers from the national champion Stanford lightweight eight boat were honored Tuesday, earning spots on the CRCA's Pocock All-America Team. Gretchen Stumhofer earned her second straight nod while the selections were the first in the careers of Mariel Lanas and Genevieve Tuveson.
The trio was all part of the Stanford lightweight eight boat that upset No. 1 Wisconsin and captured its first-ever national title this past Saturday at the IRA National Championships Regatta.
Stumhofer is in her third year with the lightweights and helped the Cardinal to its first title after three straight third-place finishes by the boat at the IRAs. She earned her second straight All-America honor.
Lanas and Tuveson each earned their first All-America selections Tuesday, after being part of the title-winning boat.
