- The first day of action at the 2010 NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships came to a close Wednesday night with the Arizona State University track & field program posting several strong showings, includingRyan Whiting winning the national title in the discus,Donald Sanford advancing to the final of the 400m dash and Jasmine Chaney reaching the final of the 400m hurdles at the meet being held at Hayward Field in Eugene, Ore. Senior Anita Campbell wrapped up her All-American career with a 15th-place finish in the finals of the 10,000-meter run on day one of the NCAA Track & Field Championships at a rain-soaked Hayward Field. STAN's Stephanie Marcy Earns All-America Status On Day 1 Of The NCAA Outdoor Championships

The NCAA Outdoor Championships got underway from historic Hayward Field on the campus of the University or Oregon. Stanford enjoyed some great results with Stephanie Marcy earning an All-America honor in the 10,000 meters and Amaechi Morton winning his heat in the semifinals of the 400-meter hurdles. [Read more]

USC's Dan Places Fifth In The Discus At NCAA Championships
EUGENE, ORE. - Aaron Dan placed fifth in the men's discus, Joey Hughes advanced to the finals in the 400m dash and Reggie Wyatt moved on to the finals in the men's 400m intermediate hurdles today (June 9) at the 2010 NCAA Track & Field Championships hosted by Oregon at Hayward Field in Eugene, Ore. during intermittent sunshine, cloud cover and light rain.
