Locker Headed East To Meet The Press
June 26, 2010
Husky quarterback Jake Locker will head east Sunday morning for a visit to New York City and ESPN headquarters in Bristol, Conn.
The trip is a terrific opportunity to increase the exposure of Husky football to a national audience and to the press on the East Coast.
After flying cross-country on Sunday, Locker will spend all day Monday at ESPN. It'll be an amazing, whirlwind day for the senior signalcaller, starting with an appearance on the Mike and Mike radio show at 9:40 a.m. ET and concluding with a spot on the Doug Gottlieb radio show at 4:25 p.m. ET.
In between, Locker will hold a live chat on ESPN.com (at 1:30 p.m. ET), tape segments with a large variety of television programs, appear on several more radio shows and spend time getting to know the on-air and production staff at ESPN.
On Tuesday, the UW will host a lunch with members of the New York media at a restaurant near Times Square and then visit the offices of Sports Illustrated before returning to the Northwest.
We'll have daily updates here at gohuskies.com, but you can also follow along via twitter.com/uwsportsnews.

He'll also be on the Scott Van Pelt Show at 9:30 a.m. PT, LA Live (on ESPN Radio 710 in Los Angeles) at 11:00 a.m. PT, and the Doug Gottlieb Show at 1:25 p.m. PT.
