OREGON not only holds the top spot in both polls again this week, but it now has reached the top of the BCS standings. . . . For the first time, ARIZONA and STANFORD meet with both teams ranked in the polls at the same time . . . . Go to the head of the class: CALIFORNIA senior LB Mike Mohamed and STANFORD senior LB/FB Owen Marecic were two of 16 winners of the National Football Foundation Scholar-Athlete Award. Each recipient receives an $18,000 postgraduate scholarship. One of the 16 will be selected as winner of the William V. Campbell Trophy, known as the academic Hesiman. Mohamed carries a 3.43 GPA and is on track to graduate in December with a bachelor's degree in business administration, while Marecic carries a 3.47 GPA in human biology.
