Scouting The Bears: Cameron Jordan
California / DL
Ht. 6'4 Wt. 285
Prototype size for the position. Very competitive and active on the line of scrimmage. Has a nose for the ball and is always around the action. Can rush the passer with both power and speed. Forceful tackler. Chases the ball hard from sideline to sideline. Very consistent in all areas. High production.
Plays high at times and gets hung up on blockers vs. the run sometimes. Needs to develop more pass rush moves. Gets his pads turned vs. the inside run.
This kid is an early-round NFL talent who should become a solid starter at DE. Has a lot of tools and plays hard on a consistent basis. Has the speed to chase down plays and is active in every game. Has a burst to close on the QB. Good strength and athletic ability to get through traffic and find the ball. Not an easy player to handle one-on-one due to size and intensity. This player comes to play every week and is fun to watch.
