STANFORD, Calif. (AP) - Kayla Pedersen had 19 points, 12 rebounds and five assists and No. 3 Stanford held off 16th-ranked Texas 93-78 on Sunday in a matchup of unbeaten teams. Nnemkadi Ogwumike added 22 points and seven rebounds and her freshman sister, Chiney, scored 14 for the Cardinal, who moved VanDerveer (798-195) within two victories of joining the elite 800 club.
No. 13 UCLA Pulls Away From Temple, 71-61
LOS ANGELES (AP) - Darxia Morris and Markel Walker scored 15 points apiece and No. 13 UCLA beat Temple 71-61 Sunday. Rebekah Gardner had 14 points for the Bruins (5-0), while Walker added nine points and six assists.
Cal Tops Portland State for Colliers Tournament Title
BERKELEY - The California Golden Bears won the Colliers International Classic championship with a 82-49 victory over the Portland State Vikings. Layshia Clarendon was named Tournament MVP. DeNesha Stallworth, who scored 25 points against the Vikings, was also named to the All-Tournament team.

NASHVILLE, TENN. - The USC women's basketball team got career-high rebounding from Christina Marinacci and Briana Gilbreath as the Trojans won out on the boards and finally on the scoreboard in a 78-59 victory over Quinnipiac today. Playing in the Vanderbilt Thanksgiving Tournament, the Women of Troy rebounded from a tight loss to Princeton by forcing their way out of another close start against the Bobcats.
