THIS YEAR IN PAC-10 SOCCER
For the third-straight season and fourth all-time, the No. 1 STANFORD Cardinal advanced to the NCAA Women's College Cup. The Cardinal faced Boston College in the national semifinal, defeating the Eagles, 2-0, and advanced to its second-straight national championship game. Stanford played a tough-fought match, but lost to Notre Dame, 1-0, finishing as national runner-up for the second-straight season. Stanford won it's second Pac-10 title in 2010, finishing undefeated in Conference play for the second season in a row. Stanford senior forward Chirsten Press tied the Pac-10 and school record in 2010 as she netted 26 goals. The Pac-10 saw seven teams into the NCAA Tournament in 2010, with Washington making a Cinderella run to the round of eight.
