Nebraska (10-3) vs. Washington (6-6)
Thursday, December 30
7:00 p.m. PT / ESPN

- Video Preview with J.J. Stokes
- Scouting Report: Jake Locker
- Scouting Report: Mason Foster
Scouting Report: Jermaine Kearse

Nebraska players to watch:
DC #21 Prince Amukamara, Sr. - This future high-round NFL Draft pick has the rare combination of size/cover skill every team covets.
DT #94 Jared Crick, Jr. - Another future high round Draft pick, the 290-pound run stuffer also posted 9.5 sacks on the year.
LB #4 Lavonte David, Jr. - One of the nation's most productive and active linebackers posted 145 tackles and 10 PBU's on the season.
PK/PT #90 Alex Henery, Sr. - The most accurate kicker in NCAA history also handles punting chores. Should have a long NFL career as his leg strength and accuracy are both outstanding.
RB #5 Roy Helu, Sr. - This underrated chain mover quietly ran for 1252 yards with an impressive 6.8 average per carry.

Washington players to watch:
QB #10 Jake Locker, Sr. - One of the most dynamic players in college hopes to end his career on high note.
RB #1 Chris Polk, Jr. - This bruising second effort runner also displays elusiveness in the open field. Has rushed for an impressive 1287 yards in 2010.
WO #15 Jermaine Kearse, Jr. - Reminds me of a young Hines Ward, tough as nails, very productive and not afraid to catch balls across the middle. His 12 TDs led the Huskies this season.

Game Forecast
This game is a rematch from the third week of the season when Nebraska prevailed 56-21. Expect the Huskies to play with more confidence and make this contest much closer than the first one. QB Jake Locker is playing his final game and has a bright NFL future awaiting him. I don't think he will want to disappoint the many Husky fans that will make the trek down to San Diego to cheer on their team. Nebraska is a difficult team for anyone to beat as their defense features several future NFL performers as well as a varied offense that is not easy to contain. QB Locker will have to be on target early and look for WR Kearse to be on the receiving end of a few shots downfield. If they can get their running game going with the productive Chris Polk they will have a better opportunity to keep the game close. Nebraska's young freshman QB Taylor Martinez gets bothered by pressure and can be forced into untimely turnovers. It will be difficult but not impossible for Washington to come away with a win on Thursday if they protect the football.
