Washington State's Anderson Named to The Bowerman Watch List
WALNUT CREEK, Calif. - WASHINGTON STATE senior Jeshua Anderson has been named to the preseason watch list for The Bowerman 2011 Men's Award, as announced by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) on Wednesday. The Bowerman is collegiate track and field's most prestigious award. Anderson returns to the watch list for a record ninth time.
A native of Woodland Hills, Calif., Anderson was the NCAA 400-meter hurdle champion in both 2008 and 2009, and was the national runner-up in 2010. The national final marked the only time last year that Anderson was bested in the 400 hurdles. In running a 48.63 for his third-straight Pac-10 title, Anderson recorded the second-best time by a collegian in 2010 and matched UCLA's Kevin Young as the only athletes to win three-consecutive league crowns in the event.
