Seven Pac-10 Teams Ranked in NCBWA Preseason Poll

WALNUT CREEK, Calif. - Seven Pac-10 teams are ranked in the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) Preseason Division I Poll announced Monday. The 2010 NCAA runner-up, UCLA, leads the Conference with a No. 2 ranking. The Pac-10 tied with the SEC for most teams represented in the poll.

ARIZONA STATE, a College World Series participant last year, enters the season ranked 11th, with OREGON right behind the Sun Devils at No. 12 and STANFORD at No. 14. ARIZONA was tabbed No. 25 while CALIFORNIA received a No. 30 ranking and WASHINGTON STATE was No. 34 in the poll. OREGON STATE received votes.

The 2011 season begins on Friday, February 18, with all 10 Conference squads taking to the field that opening weekend.
