Stanford's Eichenseer and Hostage Named Pac-10 Divers of the Month
WALNUT CREEK, Calif. - STANFORD seniors Brent Eichenseer and Meg Hostage have been named Pac-10 Divers of the Month for January, Commissioner Larry Scott announced today.
Eichenseer swept the one and three-meter at Arizona and Arizona State, four of his six event wins in January. The New Albany, Ohio, native posted a season best of 378.45 on the one-meter against the Sun Devils. Eichenseer also won the three-meter (360.70) and platform (337.40) at the Bruin Invitational.
Hostage won eight of 11 events in January, including a sweep of UCLA and USC on the one and three-meter. The Potomac, Md., native won the one-meter over USC's Victoria Ishimatsu by .975 points and posted a season-best of 334.65 on the three-meter against the Trojans. She scored a season-best 337.75 on the one-meter against the Bruins. Hostage also posted wins in both events at Arizona State and at the Bruin Invitational.
