HENDERSON, Nev. - Behind a one-hit shutout performance by senior pitcher Ashley Chinn, the 18th-ranked Stanford softball upset No. 3 Tennessee, Sunday, in the final day of the UNLV Louisville Slugger Desert Classic in Henderson, Nev. The Cardinal improves to 8-2 on the season, while the Lady Vols drop to 8-2 overall.

SAN DIEGO - Roughly 40 hours after the teams had left the field in a 0-0 tie on Friday afternoon, the No. 15 California softball team knocked off No. 8 Missouri, 1-0, on Sunday morning and then defeated UC Santa Barbara, 2-1, shortly thereafter.
No. 10/11 Huskies Win Two At San Diego Classic
SAN DIEGO - The rain finally stopped in San Diego so the San Diego Classic could continue on Sunday and the No. 10/11 Huskies picked up two wins on the day. Washington improves to 8-0 on the season with an 8-1 win over Northwestern and a 6-3 victory over No. 22 San Diego State.
Pair of Bombs by Bates Pace #1 Bruins to Win Over Utah State
LAS VEGAS, Nev. - Sophomore B.B. Bates produced her first-career, two-homer game, going 4-for-5 with four runs scored and four RBI, while senior GiOnna DiSalvatore added a home run and went 3-for-3 with two RBI, as the top-ranked Bruins finished up play at the Louisville Slugger Desert Classic with a 13-3, six-inning win over Utah State.
Softball Sweeps Hillenbrand Invitational
The fourth-ranked Arizona softball team won two games Sunday to improve to 10-1 on the season. Arizona defeated Texas A&M Corpus Christi 9-1 (5 innings) in the first game of the day before squeaking past Pacific 8-6 in the tournament-cap.
Katelyn Boyd's Fireworks Leads No. 9 Softball To Two Wins To Close Littlewood Classic
TEMPE, Ariz. - Battling through cold and rain, Katelyn Boyd went a perfect five-for-five with three home runs Friday to lead the No. 9 Sun Devil Softball team to 16-1 (5) and 13-2 (5) wins over Idaho State and Seattle University to close out the Littlewood Classic. Hillary Bach and Dallas Escobedo collected the wins on the day to move to 2-0 and 6-0 respectively as ASU holds a 9-1 overall record.
