TUCSON, Ariz. - The No. 17 Arizona baseball team received strong pitching performances by starter Kyle Simon and reliever Nick Cunningham as the Wildcats defeated visiting Utah Valley, 6-3, on Saturday night at Kindall Field/Sancet Stadium.
No. 7 Cal State Fullerton Defeats USC, 7-3
FULLERTON, Calif. - Tyler Pill threw seven innings and struck out seven while allowing three hits Saturday as the No. 7 Cal State Fullerton Titans beat the USC Trojans, 7-3, to earn the series win at Goodwin Field. Pill gave up three runs, but only one was earned. Anthony Trajano and Nick Ramirez had two RBI each for the Titans (7-3).
No. 15 Ducks Fall to Long Beach State 7-6 in 12 Innings
LONG BEACH, Calif. -- Madison Boer deserved better. All Oregon's starting right-hander did was pitch eight innings of one-run ball and turn a tidy 6-1 lead against Long Beach State over to the bullpen with three outs to play. But the Ducks couldn't hold the lead, allowing five runs on three hits, a walk, a passed ball and a two wild pitches. An infield error also proved costly in sending the game to extra innings.

CORVALLIS, Ore. - Jake Rodriguez posted two three-hit efforts and Ben Wetzler and Sam Gaviglio combined for two solid outings as the Oregon State baseball team swept a doubleheader over Hartford Saturday at Goss Stadium.

LINCOLN, Neb. - Right-hander Trevor Bauer logged career highs with 17 strikeouts in 10 innings but did not record a decision as the No. 5 UCLA baseball team dropped a 2-1 ballgame in 12 innings at Nebraska on Saturday afternoon. Bauer limited the Cornhuskers to one run and four hits, issuing five walks through 10 frames.
Voth Pitches Huskies To 6-2 Win Over BYU
SEATTLE - Freshman Austin Voth struck out eight over six innings in his first college start and Chase Anselment belted a two-run homer to lead the Washington baseball team to a 6-1 win over Brigham Young Saturday afternoon at Husky Ballpark.
No. 14 Cal Falls to No. 3 Oklahoma, 5-3
SAN DIEGO, CALIF. - The No. 14-ranked Cal baseball team dropped its third close game of the season, falling to No. 3-ranked Oklahoma, 5-3, Saturday (March 5) during the third day of the San Diego Tournament at Tony Gwynn Stadium. The Golden Bears (6-3) actually out-hit the highly ranked Sooners, 8-7, and had a long outing from sophomore left-hander Justin Jones, but were not able to give Oklahoma (13-0) its first loss of the season.
Cougar Baseball Blanked by Minnesota
TUCSON, Ariz. - Three Minnesota pitchers combined for a six-hit shutout and the Golden Gophers defeated Washington State 2-0 in the Dairy Queen Classic at Kino Veterans Memorial Stadium, Saturday.
Baseball Outlasts Kansas 4-3
SURPRISE, Ariz. - Thanks to some great at bats by Riccio Torrez and the left arm of Mitchell Lambson, Arizona State took down the Kansas Jayhawks 4-3 on Saturday night at Surprise Stadium. Torrez drove in three of the four Sun Devil runs, while Mitch Lambson was nearly unhittable for ASU, who improved to 8-2 on the year.
