The Wildcats enter the 2011 Pacfic Life Pac-10 Tournament as the No. 4 seed and will face the No. 9 seed Oregon on Wed., March 9 at 2:15 p.m. PT...Arizona and USC tied for fourth place in the Conference, but the Wildcats earned the fourth seed by virtue of the head-to-head competition tie breaker rule...The Cats' 10-8 Conference record is their best since the 2004-05 campaign and their 19 wins overall are the most since the same season. Their fourth place finish in the Pac-10 is the highest finish for UA for the first time since tying for the Pac-10 regular-season crown in 2004...The Wildcats defeated Oregon and Oregon State on the road in the final weekend of Pac-10 play...On Saturday against Oregon, SR F Ify Ibekwe scored 31 points, a season-high...Ibekwe is the only player in the Conference to average a double-double night in and night out...the Wildcats have three players averaging double figures in scoring, Ibekwe (16.1), SO G Davellyn Whyte (15.2) and SR F Soana Lucet (11.3)... Ibekwe ranks as one of the top 50 scorers and top 10 rebounders in Pac-10 history ... Arizona returned a young but talented squad, including four starters. Ibekwe was named Preseason All-Pac-10 by the media and was also named to the Naismith Award watch list. Head coach Niya Butts is in her third season in Tucson.
ARIZONA STATE (19-9, 11-7)

Arizona State clinched the No. 3 seed in the Pacific Life Pac-10 Tournament with two wins on the road at Oregon and Oregon State...The Sun Devils will face the No. 10 seed Oregon State on Wed., March 9 at 12 p.m. PT...The No. 3 seed marks the seventh time in 10 years that the Sun Devils have clinched a top-three seeding...JR G/F Kimberly Brandon led the Sun Devils in their final regular season win over Oregon State, 59-54 with a 15 point performance... With the win, head coach Charli Turner Thorne moves into third place on the Pac-10's all-time wins list with 288, tying her with former Arizona coach Joan Bonvicini...SR Dymond Simon leads the team with an average of 13.8 points per game... Simon was a 2008-09 All-Pac-10 selection, but sat out all of the 2009-10 campaign because of a knee injury suffered in the final weekend of play in 2008-09 ... After advancing to the WNIT last year, head coach Charli Turner Thorne returns another young squad which features nine players with one year or less of Division I playing experience.
CALIFORNIA (15-14, 7-11)

The Golden Bears are the No. 6 seed in the Pac-10 Tournament and will face the No. 7 seed Washington at 7:15 p.m. PT on Wed., March 9...California finished up the regular season with a 75-51 loss to Bay Area rival Stanford in Stanford, Calif...SR G Rachelle Federico scored 16 points in the loss...SO C DeNesha Stallworth leads the team with an average of 14.0 points per game and 6.6 rebounds per game. In 2010 the Golden Bears were the No. 4 seed in the Pac-10 Tournament and advanced to the semifinals, where they lost to the eventual champion Stanford Cardinal... Head coach Joanne Boyle's starting lineup has consisted of one senior, three sophomores and one freshman. She recorded her 200th-career victory on Feb. 3 against Arizona ... The Golden Bears are the reigning WNIT Champions.
Oregon (13-16, 4-14)

The Ducks, the No. 9 seed in the Pacific Life Pac-10 Tournament will face the No. 4-seeded Wildcats in a rematch of Saturday's 88-65 loss...The Ducks have an all-time record of 4-9 at the Pac-10 Tournament and advanced to the semifinals in 2002 and 2005...Oregon and Arizona have only met on one occassion in the tournament, March 3, 2006, where the squad lost, 64-57... Oregon ranks 17th in the nation in scoring average, averaging 75.9 ppg and third in three-pointers made (8.5) ... RS JR G Nia Jackson had her first-career double-double vs. Saint Mary's, posting 17 points and a career-high 11 assists, the first UO player to record double-digit assists since 2005 ... Legendary head coach Paul Westhead is in his second season in Eugene ... Oregon closed the non-conference slate with a 5-0 road record, its first undefeated road record in non-conference play since 2005-06.
Oregon State (9-20, 2-16)

The Beavers finished up the regular season with two losses at home to the Arizona schools...OSU is the No. 10 seed in the Pacific Life Pac-10 Tournament and will have a rematch of this past Saturday's game against No. 3-seeded Arizona State on Wed. March 3 at 2:15 p.m. PT...OSU is 19-34 all-time against the Sun Devils...Both games between OSU and ASU this season have been close, with the Beavers losing both by a combined eight points...SR F El Sara Greer has a total of 238 rebounds on the season, good for 10th all-time for a single season in Corvallis, Ore...OSU dropped a pair of games in the Bay Area two weekends ago, but RS SO G Sage Indendi tied the single-season program record for threes in a season against the Golden Bears, racking up 74 so far...Indendi ranks 21st in the nation with a 41.6 field goal percentage...SR F El Sara Greer ranks tenth in the nation in blocks per game (3.0) ... The Beavers are under the direction of first-year head coach Scott Rueck, who arrives to Corvallis after a successful 14-year sting at George Fox University.

Stanford clinched the No. 1 seed in the Pacific Life Pac-10 Tournament for the 10th-straight year and went undefeated in Pac-10 play for the second-straight season...The Cardinal earns a bye into the semifinal round, to be played at Staple Center...Stanford extended its win streak vs. Pac-10 opponents (including regular season and postseason matchups) to 55 games, picking up a victory against Bay Area rival California to close out the regular season ... JR F N. Ogwumike scored 16 points and added eight rebounds in the game...The team shot 51.8 percent from the field...The Cardinal also set a new program record with 61-consecutive home wins, the second-longest in the NCAA ... Stanford has won 21-consecutive games since losing two in a row in mid-December ... The Cardinal clinched its 11th-consecutive Pac-10 regular-season title with a win over UO. Stanford is second in the AP poll for the third-straight week ... JR F N. Ogwumike, SR F Kayla Pedersen and Pohlen were named to one or more player of the year watch lists ... The trio were voted Preseason All-Pac-10 by the media ... Head coach Tara Vanderveer won her 800th-career game on Dec. 22, becoming only the sixth coach in NCAA women's basketball history to reach the milestone ... The Cardinal rank in the top 25 in the nation in 11 statistical categories. SR G Jeanette Pohlen ranks nationally in two categories 3-Pt FG% and N. Ogwumike ranks nationally in field goal percentage.
#7 UCLA (26-3, 16-2)

UCLA earns the No. 2 seed in the Pacific Life Pac-10 Tournament and wins a bye into the semifinal round...This is the second-straight season the Bruins have clinched the No. 2 seed...Against Washington State on Saturday in the final game in Pauley Pavillion before next year's rennovations, the squad got out to an early 25-4 start after just 13 minutes...The Bruins clinched second place in the Pac-10 with road wins at Arizona and Arizona State two weekends ago. The wins also gave UCLA 12 road victories on the season, a new program record. The previous mark of 11 had stood since 1992 ... UCLA's 26 regular-season wins are the most by a Bruin squad the 1980-81 squad racked ... UCLA is ranked in the Associated Press top 10 for the ninth week, climbing as high as No. 7, the highest since being ranked sixth on Dec. 20, 1999 ... Dixon was named to the Naismith Trophy and Wooden Award watch lists. She was also voted to the media's preseason all-conference team ... Third-year head coach Nikki Caldwell has led the Bruins to the first back-to-back 20 win season in the program's history since 1997-98 and 1998-99... UCLA ranks 6th in the nation in steals per game (12.7), 17th in rebounding margin (+7.3), and 18th in turnover margin (5.03).
USC (18-11, 10-8)

The Trojans finished out the regular season on a high note, earning two wins at home over the Washington schools...The Trojans tied with Arizona for fourth in the Conference, but lost the head-to-head matchup tiebreaker, getting the No. 5 seed...The Trojans will face the No. 8 seed Washington State Cougars on Wed., March 9 at 5 p.m. PT... For the second-straight season USC has double-figure Conference wins...The Trojans home court of the Galen Center will be hosting the Pac-10 Tournament for the third-straight season ... G Jacki Gemelos scored 15 points and netted four 3-pointers, including the game-winner against Washington in overtime on Sunday... USC has defeated two ranked teams this season, facing six ranked opponents to-date ... Head coach Michael Cooper is in his second season at USC, last year leading the Women of Troy to 19 wins and just short of postseason play. He landed at USC after a successful career with the WNBA's Los Angeles Sparks.
Washington (11-16, 6-12)

The Huskies lost two on the road in the final two weekends of the regular season... Washington and rival Washington State tied for seventh in the Conference, but Washington wins the tiebreaker by virtue of head-to-head competition, claiming the No. 7 seed. The Huskies will face the No. 6-seeded California Golden Bears at 7:15 p.m. PT on Wed., March 9......On Sunday against USC on national television, the Huskies rallied from a 15 point deficit to go ahead with 40 seconds left...The game was tied at the end of regulation and the Huskies lost in overtime...JR G/F Kristi Kingma led the way with 16 points and three 3-pointers...UW has been hampered by injuries this season. RS JR C Regina Rogers, Williams and SO F Jeneva Anderson have all missed time due to injuries. RS-SO F Liz Lay retired after a long history of injuries ... In her fourth season, head coach Tia Jackson welcomes back four starters and eight letterwinners overall ... Washington ended the non-conference slate with a winning record for the first time under Jackson ... JR G/F Kristi Kingma ranks 21st in threes made per game (2.8).
Washington State (8-22, 6-12)
This Week: L, at USC, 67-74; L, at #9/9 UCLA, 48-66

The Cougars finished tied with rival Huskies for seventh in the Pac-10, but because of the head-to-head tiebreaker rule, WSU earns the No. 8 seed in the Pacific Life Pac-10 Tournament...The team will face the No. 5 seed USC Trojans at 5 p.m. PT on Wed., March 9...The Cougars are 12-39 against the Trojans...WSU is looking for its first Pac-10 Tournament victory this year...The seventh place finish is the highest for the Huskies since the 1997-98 season and their six Conference victories are the most since 2000-01... WSU's back-to-back wins on Jan. 8 and 14 were the first time since 2001 WSU had won consecutive Conference games ... Head coach June Daugherty is in her fourth season in Pullman, welcoming back eight letterwinners and four starters. She will rely on a young squad with just two seniors on the roster.
