Wildcats Start Strong On Night 1 of NCAA's
MINNEAPOLIS - On night one of the Men's Swimming and Diving NCAA Championships at the University Aquatic Center in Minneapolis, the Arizona men's swimming and diving team garnered three individual All-Americans and finished amongst the top eight in both the 200 free relay and 400 medley relay to score 99 points for fifth place through six events.
Adrian, 400 Medley Relay Win Titles
The No. 1-ranked California men's swimming team started off the 2011 NCAA Championships with two national titles on Day One, as senior Nathan Adrian won the 50-yard freestyle in an American record 18.66 and the Golden Bears captured the 400 medley relay Thursday night (March 24) at the Dorothy L. Shepard Pool in Minneapolis.

Cal Poly's Peter Kline Fails to Advance in 200 IM at NCAA Finals
MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. -- Cal Poly senior Peter Kline missed the school record in the 200 individual medley by just one-tenth of a second and posted the 38th-fastest qualifying time in the prelims at the NCAA Division I Men's Swimming and Diving Championships, which began a three-day run Thursday at the University of Minnesota Aquatic Center.
Chris Peterson Takes 21st in 50 Free
MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. - Junior Chris Peterson was unable to qualify for the 50 freestyle finals at the 2011 NCAA Division I Men's Swimming and Diving Championships on Thursday. Peterson, who was seeded eighth, tied for 21st in the event's preliminaries with Duke's Nick Garvy in a time of 19.67 seconds.
