Stanford Third at NCAAs as Duo Each are Runners-Up
MINNEAPOLIS-- Chad La Tourette in the 1650 freestyle and Bobby Bollier in the 200 butterfly were both national runners-up as Stanford finished in third place at the NCAA Championships.
Wildcats Take Fourth At NCAA Championships
MINNEAPOLIS - In head coach Frank Busch's final meet with the University of Arizona swimming and diving program, his swimmers placed fourth overall with 302 points at the men's NCAA Championships in Minneapolis at the University Aquatic Center. California won its first team NCAA title on the men's side since 1980 with 493 points. Texas was second with 470.5 points followed by Stanford in third with 403.
Morozov, 400y F.R. Lead USC To 7th At NCAAs
Freshman Vladimir Morozov finished fourth in the 100y free and spearheaded USC's All-American 400y free relay that finished third, both in school-record fashion, as the Trojans finished seventh on the final day of the 2011 NCAA Men's Swimming and Diving Championships in Minneapolis, Minn., Saturday (March 26).
Kline Breaks Record in 200 Backstroke at NCAA Finals
MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. - Cal Poly senior Peter Kline shattered the school record in the 200 backstroke Saturday afternoon, but it still wasn't good enough to advance to the championship or consolation finals in the NCAA Division I Men's Swimming and Diving Championships.
