CORVALLIS, Ore. - Sophomore starting pitcher Tina Andreana pitched a one run gem Friday afternoon as the Beavers defeated the No. 5 (USA Softball) Arizona Wildcats by a final score of 3-1 in front of a season high crowd of 453.
Escobedo and Boyd's Heroics Lead No. 3 Softball Over No. 16 Oregon
EUGENE, Ore. Ð In a gritty pitchers duel the No. 3 Sun Devil Softball team emerged the victor as Katelyn Boyd hit a two run home run to make the difference in Dallas EscobedoÕs one-hit gem Friday night as they topped the No. 16 Oregon Ducks 2-0 to move to 36-3 overall on the year and 3-1 in Pac-10 play as Oregon falls to 29-7 and -1-3 in conference play with Escobedo moving to 18-2 on the year.
Bears Surprise Huskies, 10-5, in Five Innings
SEATTLE - The No. 9/12 California softball team upset No. 6/7 Washington, 10-0, in five innings on Friday evening. Thanks to the win, the Golden Bears improve to 24-6 overall and 2-2 in the Pac-10 Conference while the Huskies fall to 27-4 and also 2-2 in the Pac-10.
Bruin Magic Strikes Again as #6 UCLA Walks Off With Another Win
LOS ANGELES - The sixth-ranked Bruins came back twice on Friday night, tying the game in the seventh on a two-run homer by freshman Alyssa Tiumalu and evening it again in the 13th on an RBI single by sophomore B.B. Bates, but it was junior Andrea Harrison's solo homer in the 14th that gave UCLA another walk-off win in a 6-5 victory at Easton Stadium.
