No. 8 Arizona will bring home a couple of three-run victories from Oregon State after sweeping Saturday's doubleheader. Arizona defeated OSU 4-1 in the first game and 6-3 in game two.
Red-Hot Offense Leads No. 3 Arizona State Over No. 16 Oregon
EUGENE, Ore. - Wielding red-hot bats that collected 15 hits for ten runs the third-ranked Sun Devil Softball team rallied up to take down the No. 16 Oregon Ducks in a 10-5 slugfest Saturday afternoon in Eugene. The Sun Devils are now 37-3 on the year and 4-1 in Pac-10 play with Mackenzie Popescue taking the win to move to 10-1 on the season. Oregon drops to 29-8 on the year and 1-4 in conference action.
Williams Homers In Eighth As Dawgs Even Series
SEATTLE - A solo home run by junior Niki Williams (Mission Viejo, Calif.) in the eighth inning propelled the No. 7/6 Huskies to a 2-1 victory over No. 12/9 Cal to even the series 1-1. The finale is Sunday at noon. UW improves to 28-4 and 3-2 in the Pac-10, while Cal drops to 24-7 and 2-3.
No. 13 Stanford Takes Out No. 6 UCLA
LOS ANGELES - The No. 13 Stanford softball team defeated No. 6 UCLA, 6-2, Saturday, for its first Pac-10 Conference win of the year at Easton Stadium. The Cardinal improves to 25-8 overall and 1-4 in the Pac-10, while the Bruins drop their first conference game of the year (4-1) and are 28-6 overall.
