BERKELEY - A year after being swept in Eugene by the Ducks, the No. 13 California softball team was the one issuing a loss. The Golden Bears jumped to a 2-0 lead in the top of the first and did not look back, downing the No. 17 Ducks, 5-0, on Friday afternoon at Levine-Fricke Field.
Grand Game for Fox Presents Kerr, #9 Bruins With Win Over #1 ASU
TEMPE, Ariz. - Freshman Kellie Fox hit a grand slam in the first inning and that was all the offense needed for senior Donna Kerr, who one day prior to her 22nd birthday struck out six in 6 1/3 innings to help the ninth-ranked Bruins to a 4-1 victory over #1 Arizona State on Friday at Farrington Stadium.
Cardinal Shuts Down Oregon State
STANFORD, Calif. - Sophomore pitcher Teagan Gerhart threw a two-hit shutout, Friday, as the11th-ranked Stanford softball team posted a 7-0 win over Oregon State at Smith Family Stadium. The Cardinal moves to 28-8 overall and 3-4 in the Pac-10, while the Beavers fall to 18-14 on the season and 1-6 in the conference.

TUCSON, Ariz. - In their first Pac-10 road game of 2011, the UW softball team, ranked No. 7/8 in the country, shutout No. 8/7 Arizona, 3-0, in the opening game of the series Friday night.
