LOS ANGELES - Chris Giovinazzo went 3-for-4 and Adam Plutko recorded six strikeouts through 6.1 innings to lead the No. 24 UCLA baseball team past No. 3 Oregon State, 5-2, before 1,107 at Steele Field at Jackie Robinson Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
No. 20 Cal Over Oregon, 5-4
BERKELEY - Senior left fielder Austin Booker hit an RBI single through the left side of the infield in the bottom of the ninth inning, scoring junior shortstop Marcus Semien and giving the No. 20-ranked California a come-from-behind 5-4 victory over Oregon Sunday afternoon (May 1) at Evans Diamond.
#6 ASU Gets 7-1 Win Over Stanford
TEMPE, Ariz. - Thanks to a magnificent start by Jake Barrett and a power display by Joey DeMichele, the Sun Devils beat the Stanford Cardinal 7-1 on Sunday afternoon to take the weekend series two games to one. Barrett (6-3) was brilliant for eight innings, allowing only a first inning run to earn the win and help ASU improve to 31-10 on the year, 13-5 in Pac-10 play.
