Huskies Down Portland State In Regional Opener
SEATTLE - All eyes were on the NCAA Seattle Regional Thursday night as the first four teams played in this year's tournament. The 12th-seeded Huskies never trailed Portland State going on to win 6-2. UW improves to 35-14 on the year and Portland State is 34-17.

No. 11 Ducks Bite Danes, 3-1, in NCAA Regional Opener
UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - The No. 11 University of Oregon softball team (40-14) kicked off its 13th NCAA Regional trip Friday afternoon with a 3-1 win over Albany (28-22) at Penn State's Beard Field.
Kerr Stellar, Bruins Get Breaks in Regional-Opening Win
GAINESVILLE, Fla. - Senior Donna Kerr tossed her third shutout of the season, fanning seven in a four-hit performance, while junior Andrea Harrison went 2-for-3 with a go-ahead triple in the sixth inning, the first triple of her career, as the Bruins won their Regional opener over Jacksonville 2-0 on Friday at Katie Seashole Pressly Stadium.
No. 7-Seeded Bears Get Past Jacksonville State, 6-3
LOUISVILLE, Ky. - In a game that was a complicated scoring affair to say the least, the No. 7-seeded California softball team came away with a 6-3 win over Jacksonville State in the opening game of the Louisville Regional. The Golden Bears (40-10) scored six runs off 13 hits and six Gamecock errors to begin the 2011 postseason.
Huskies Advance To Championship Game With 4-1 Victory over BYU
SEATTLE - After three scoreless innings, the Huskies defeated BYU in the winner's bracket of the Seattle NCAA Regional 4-1 to advance to Saturday's championship game. The game will begin at 2:30 p.m. and if UW wins it will advance to the Super Regionals. If UW were to lose the first game a second and deciding game would be played at approximately 5 p.m.
No. 1 ASU Opens NCAA Tournament with 10-0 (5) Over North Dakota State
TEMPE, Ariz. - The No. 1 ASU Softball team opened the 2011 postseason in style Friday afternoon as they slammed a 10-0 (5) win over North Dakota State to move to 51-6 on the year while Dallas Escobedo moves to 28-3 while leading ASU into Saturday's winner's bracket.
Stanford Opens the Postseason with Win Over Pacific
STANFORD, Calif. - The No. 15 seed Stanford softball team shut out Pacific, 3-0, Friday, in the postseason opener for both teams at Smith Family Stadium. The Cardinal improves to 39-15, while the Tigers drop to 37-18.
