TEMPE, Ariz. - Joey DeMichele hit a three-run walk-off homer in the bottom of the ninth inning to give the Arizona State University baseball team a dramatic 4-2 win over New Mexico in their opening game of the Tempe Regional on Friday. The Sun Devils improved to 40-16 with the win and will face Charlotte in a winner's bracket game on Saturday.
Beavers Down UALR To Win Regional Opener
CORVALLIS, Ore. - Ryan Barnes tallied three hits and Danny Hayes and Garrett Nash each homered as the Oregon State baseball team overcame a four-run deficit to defeat UALR, 7-4, in the Beavers' regional opener Friday night at Goss Stadium.

Cal Baseball Loses to Baylor, 6-4, in NCAA Action
HOUSTON, TEXAS - The Cal baseball team made a valiant comeback by scoring a run in the seventh inning and three runs in the eighth, but still fell to No. 2-seed Baylor, 6-4, Friday (June 3) in NCAA regional action at Rice's Reckling Park. Junior catcher Chadd Krist was an offensive force for the Golden Bears, hitting a double and a triple before driving in a Cal run with an RBI single in the eighth inning. The Golden Bears fell to 31-21 overall, and Baylor improved to 30-26. Cal will next play the loser of the Alcorn State and No. 1-seed Rice game Saturday, June 4 at 2 p.m. CT (12 p.m. PT).
Cats Fall To Seton Hall In Regional Opener
COLLEGE STATION, Texas - Jon Prosinski threw a complete game shutout for Seton Hall as the No. 3-seeded Pirates knocked off No. 2-seeded Arizona in the opening game of the College Station Regional at Olsen Field on Friday afternoon. Seton Hall (34-23) advances to Saturday's winner's bracket game against the winner of tonight's Texas A&M/Wright State game. Arizona (36-20) will play the loser of the game in an elimination contest at 12:35 p.m. CDT on Saturday.
