Cal Baseball Defeats Alcorn State, 10-6
HOUSTON, TEXAS - Behind the outstanding relief pitching of sophomore left-hander Justin Jones and a six-run third inning, the Cal baseball team defeated Alcorn State, 10-6, Saturday (June 4) in NCAA regional action at Rice's Reckling Park. Jones (8-6), who entered the game in the second inning with the Golden Bears down 4-0, went on to pitch 6.1 innings, allowing only two hits, no earned runs, with three walks and 10 strikeouts.
Gaviglio, Beavers Defeat Creighton, Advance To Regional Final

TEMPE, Ariz. - Xorge Carrillo had a career-high five hits and Kramer Champlin threw seven shutout innings to lead the Arizona State University baseball team to a 16-1 victory over Charlotte in the Tempe Regional on Saturday. The Sun Devils are now 41-16 overall, 2-0 in the Regional, and will play the winner of Sunday afternoon's game between Arkansas and Charlotte on Sunday night.
