DES MOINES, Iowa - Wins by Melissa Gergel in the pole vault and Anne Kesselring in the 800 meters lifted the Women of Oregon into the overnight lead with 33 points Friday night at the NCAA Track and Field Championships. The men also got on the scoreboard thanks to Elijah Greer in the 800 meters, Mike Berry in the 400 meters and Luke Puskedra in the 10,000 meters.

DES MOINES, Iowa - A massive individual effort from freshman Megan Goethals in the 5,000-meter finals provided a great high note to end the season on for the Husky track and field teams, as their season came to a close today at the NCAA Championships at Drake Stadium. In the final event of the night, Goethals got the women's team on the board with a sixth-place finish, in the third-fastest time in school history.
Anderson Wins Third NCAA Intermediate Hurdles Title
DES MOINES, Iowa -- Washington State's Jeshua Anderson won the men's 400m hurdles for the third time in his four-year career Friday at the NCAA Track & Field Outdoor Championships. It was his second NCAA title running at Drake Stadium in Des Moines, Iowa, having also won in 2008.

DES MOINES, Iowa - It was a banner day for the Cardinal track and field teams on the third day of competition of the NCAA Outdoor Championships. Both teams came through with some top performances to score big points in the team standings. The women currently sit in third with 25 points, while the men are tied for fifth with 24 points. Fourteen of 21 events have been competed in both competitions with the rest of the finals taking place on Saturday.

DES MOINES, Iowa - Arizona State University track and field student-athlete Darius Terry advanced to the final of the men's 1,500m run and Samantha Henderson put herself in contention to score in the heptathlon as the second day of competition at the 2011 NCAA Championships in Des Moines, Iowa, came to a soggy end Thursday night with a storm forcing an early end to the competition. One of the victims of the weather came in the women's 4x400m relay as the Sun Devils were one of eight teams in the third heat of the semifinals and were in the blocks ready to run before lightning halted the race.
