Jahn Earns Bank of the West Weekly Honor
WALNUT CREEK, Calif. - STANFORD junior midfielder Adam Jahn was named Bank of the West Pac-12 Men's Soccer Player of the Week for the week of Sept. 20-26, Commissioner Larry Scott announced today.
The Sacramento, Calif., native headed in the game-winning goal off a corner kick in the 42nd minute to give Stanford a 1-0 win over Harvard on Friday. On Sunday, Jahn assisted on Hunter Gorskie's goal in the seventh minute to put Stanford up, 1-0, over Vermont. The Cardinal would go on to win 2-1, completing a 2-0 weekend and bringing its record to 3-4-1.
This is Jahn's first weekly honor and Stanford's 14th all-time Player of the Week.
Stanford opens Pac-12 play on the road, facing San Diego State on Friday, Sept. 30 at 1:30 p.m. PT and UCLA on Sunday, Oct. 2 at 3 p.m. PT.
