Around The Pac-12
USC is at CALIFORNIA Thursday on ESPN/ESPN3D at AT&T Park in San Francisco. AT&T Park is the home for California football this season as Memorial Coliseum undergoes renovation. AT&T Park is no stranger to college football as it's also the site of the Kraft Fight Hunger Bowl.
ESPN's College GameDay will make its first appearance on a Pac-12 campus this season as the University of Oregon will be the site of this Saturday's show.
Plenty of true freshmen are collecting playing time around the Pac-12 this season. Five teams have had 10 or more freshmen see action - COLORADO (13), ARIZONA (10), CALIFORNIA (10), OREGON STATE (10) and WASHINGTON STATE (10).
Comparing numbers. . . STANFORD's Andrew Luck and OREGON's LaMichael James, 2010 Heisman Trophy finalists, actually have posted similar, if not better, numbers from a year ago through five games:
2011: 106-of-145 (.731), 1,383 yds, 2 INT, 14 TDs
2010: 93-of-148 (.628), 1,253 yds, 4 INT, 13 TDs
2011: 95 rush, 852 yds (9.0 ypc), 170.4 per game, 8 TDs
2010: 114 rush, 848 yds (7.4 ypc), 169.6 per game, 9 TDs
STANFORD takes its school-record tying and nation's longest winning streak (13 games) on the road to WASHINGTON STATE.
The Pac-12 has partnered with ESPN Radio to broadcast the inaugural Pac-12 Football Championship Game December 2, 2011.

Duck Notes: Junior RB LaMichael James injured his right elbow (dislocation) early in the fourth quarter of Oregon's 43-15 win over California and the Ducks are uncertain on his return.
