This Week in Pac-12 Women's Soccer
Pac-12 women's soccer wraps up its regular season with six rivalry match-ups this weekend, starting with WASHINGTON STATE at WASHINGTON on Thursday in the NSCAA Game of the Week on the FOX Soccer Channel, and ending with CALIFORNIA at No. 1 STANFORD on Saturday. The NCAA Division I Women's Soccer selection show will air live on NCAA.com at 1:30 p.m. PT on Monday, November 7.
The Cardinal (18-0-1, 10-0-0) remains the top-ranked team in the country for its eighth consecutive week after clinching its third straight conference title last weekend. UCLA checks in at No. 4 in the NSCAA poll, while OREGON STATE drops back to No. 21.
UCLA forward Sydney Leroux has been named Bank of the West Pac-12 Women's Soccer Player of the Week for the second time this season. The senior achieved her second hat trick in two weeks, scoring three goals in the first half of Friday's meeting with COLORADO in Boulder, which UCLA went on to win 8-0. On Sunday, the Vancouver, B.C. native also scored the game-winner in overtime to beat UTAH, 1-0. The goal was Leroux's eighth game-winning goal of the year. She leads UCLA in scoring with 29 points (14 goals, one assist) and has scored seven goals in the Bruins' last four matches.
