Five in Baseball America Preseason Top 25

WALNUT CREEK, Calif. — Five Pac-12 baseball teams have been included in Baseball America's Preseason Top 25, as released by Baseball America on Tuesday. The Conference is tied for second with the ACC for number of teams in the poll. The SEC leads all conferences with seven teams in the Top 25.

The Pac-12 has two teams ranked in the top five: STANFORD at No. 2 and ARIZONA at No. 5. UCLA comes in at 14th in the poll, while ARIZONA STATE is 17th and Oregon State is 23rd. All five teams progressed to the postseason in 2011, with Arizona and UCLA participating in regional competition, and ASU, Oregon State and Stanford playing in super regionals.

The 2012 season gets under way Friday, Feb. 17.
