For the first time in school history, the No. 6 USC women's rowing team won the prestigious Jessop-Whittier Cup at the San Diego Crew Classic for the second year in a row after the Varsity Eight turned in an impressive performance against the top teams in the country. As a team, USC also qualified all three varsity boats for the grand finals of the event.

The Washington State University women's rowing team concluded racing on a windy Sunday morning at the 2012 San Diego Crew Classic. The varsity four placed second in the Grand Finals of the collegiate four event, while WSU's novice eight placed fifth in the Grand Final. The second varsity eight grabbed a first-place finish in its respective Petite Final, while the varsity eight placed second in the Petite Final of the Collegiate Varsity Invitational event.

The Oregon State's women's rowing team closed out the San Diego Crew Classic in fine fashion on Sunday, as the team's first varsity 8+ finished in second place in the Grand Final of the SeaWorld Cal Cup.
