• Five Pac-12 teams are ranked in Baseball America's top 25 poll: OREGON (10), ARIZONA (11), STANFORD (12), UCLA (14) and ARIZONA STATE (20).

• Eight Pac-12 Players are on the 60-man midseason Golden Spikes Award watch list: Stanford junior RHP Mark Appel, ASU junior infielder Joey DeMichele, UCLA junior outfielder Jeff Gelalich, Arizona junior RHP Kurt Heyer, WSU junior outfielder Derek Jones, Stanford junior infielder/RHP Stephen Piscotty, California junior infielder Tony Renda and ASU junior RHP Brady Rodgers. Gelalich and Jones are new additions to the watch list, while Oregon State's Tony Bryant, Stanford's Kenny Diekroeger and Arizona State's Deven Marrero were on the initial watch list in February, but are not on the midseason list.

• Arizona senior designated hitter Bobby Brown is one of Louisville Slugger's National Players of the Week. Brown went 9-for-12 (.750) in the weekend series against East Tennessee State. He tallied four extra-base hits, scored six runs and drove in another nine runs. Brown posted a 1.417 slugging percentage and a .769 on-base percentage while stealing three bags in as many attempts. Louisville Slugger has honored a Pac-12 player with the national recognition in back-to-back weeks, with Stanford freshman Alex Blandino earning the award last week.

• Stanford junior Stephen Piscotty is on College Baseball 360's Primetime Performers Honor Roll for Week 11 after a strong weekend against then-No. 12 UCLA. Piscotty batted .500 (5-for-10) against the Bruins, driving in five runs and adding a solo shot. In Friday's 7-2 win, he hit a two-out, three-run homer to bring the score to 6-0. He was a perfect 3-for-3 at the plate on Saturday and drove in two runs on Sunday to help Stanford clinch the series with a 7-2 final.

• Arizona outscored weekend opponent East Tennessee State 51-17 over their three-game series--that's exactly three Wildcat scores for every ETSU run. Arizona's batting average is now up to .336, good enough for third in the country. Junior infielder Seth Mejias-Brean leads the 'Cats and the Conference at .391.

• Stanford righty Mark Appel struck out double digits for the fifth time this season, tallying 10 Ks in his Friday start at UCLA. The junior leads the Pac-12 in batters struck out and batters struck out looking at 81 and 30, respectively.
