Men's Tennis:
UCLA, USC advance to face off in semifinals.

ATHENS, Ga. - No. 2 Virginia defeated No. 11 Stanford 4-0 on Sunday evening in the quarterfinal round of the NCAA Championships at the Dan Magill Tennis Complex.

UCLA 4, Ohio State 2
ATHENS, Ga. - UCLA and USC will meet for the fourth time this season in Monday's NCAA Semifinals, as the fourth-seeded Bruins and top-seeded Trojans both registered quarterfinal victories on Sunday at the University of Georgia's Dan Magill Tennis Complex. UCLA (26-3) advanced with a 4-2 victory over No. 5 Ohio State, while USC (31-1) was a 4-1 winner over No. 8 Duke. Monday's showdown between the two conference rivals will take place at 5:00 p.m. (EST).

ATHENS, Ga. - The top-seeded USC men's tennis team continued to defend the turf where it picked up its 2010 NCAA Championship, as the Trojans dug in for a swift 4-1 win over No. 8 seed Duke in today's NCAA Quarterfinal match at the Dan Magill Tennis Complex in Athens, Ga.

California 0, Virginia 4
ATHENS, Ga. - The 14th-seeded California men's tennis team (14-12) fell, 4-0, to third-seeded and No. 2-ranked Virginia (27-1) in the round of 16 of the 2012 NCAA Division I Men's Tennis Championships on the Henry Feild Courts of the Dan Magill Tennis Complex on Friday, May 18. The Golden Bears had advanced to the round of 16 for the sixth time under Head Coach Peter Wright and were facing 2011 NCAA runner-up Virginia for the first time in program history.


Women's Tennis:

UCLA, USC advance to face off in semifinals.

UCLA 4, California 1
ATHENS, Ga. - Cal snapped UCLA's 20-match winning streak earlier in the season and the the top-seeded Bruins had revenge on their minds in the quarterfinals of the NCAA Championships on Saturday, taking a 4-1 victory over the Bears at Georgia's Dan Magill Tennis Complex. UCLA (25-2) now gets a chance to avenge its only other loss of the season in Monday's semifinals, where it will meet No. 5 USC at 1:00 p.m. (EST). The Women of Troy (24-3) were 4-2 winners over No. 4 Stanford in their quarterfinal encounter on Saturday.

USC 4, Stanford 2
ATHENS, Ga. - The USC women's tennis team made history today with its first win over Stanford in an NCAA Tournament since 1983.

California 1, UCLA 4
ATHENS, Ga. - The ninth-seeded California women's tennis team (20-7) fell, 4-1, to No. 1-ranked and top-seeded UCLA (25-2) in the quarterfinal round of the 2012 NCAA Division I Women's Tennis Championships on the Henry Feild Courts of the Dan Magill Tennis Complex on Saturday, May 19. The Golden Bears were in their 20th national quarterfinal but fell short against a Bruin squad that they had beaten in the regular season.

Stanford 2, USC 4
ATHENS, Ga. - Tied at 2-2, No. 4 USC pulled out a pair of hard-fought three-set matches at the Nos. 2 and 3 spots to claim a 4-2 victory over No. 5 Stanford.
