2012 Media Day: Stepfan Taylor is 'the most underrated RB in the nation'

Andrew Luck was far and away the most popular player linked to Stanford football for the past two years. With him gone to the NFL, most questions surrounding the Cardinal this preseason have focused on who will be Luck's replacement under center.
But don't forget about Stepfan Taylor. The Stanford senior has put together back-to-back 1,000-yard rushing seasons and is on pace to put his stamp in the school record books in more than one category. Cardinal head coach David Shaw doesn't think Taylor is getting enough love.
"We have the most underrated running back in the nation to my left," Shaw said at Tuesday's Pac-12 football media day in Los Angeles, pointing to the Texas native. "So I think there are a lot of storylines that don't involve the quarterback position."
