2012 Media Day: USC, UCLA share a brotherly bond

Safety is the family trade for T.J. and Tevin McDonald. Their father Tim played the position for 13 seasons in the NFL after a storied stint at USC. While T.J. followed his father's path by playing for Troy, Tevin crossed enemy lines to join the ranks of the Bruins.
That hasn't stopped the two from rooting for each other, however. Tevin's three-interception performance against Cal lightened T.J.'s mood after a heartbreaking triple-overtime loss to Stanford last year, while Tevin considers it a blessing to be able to call T.J. his brother.
They even watch film together. "Not each other's film," T.J. quickly clarified during Tuesday's Pac-12 football media day in Los Angeles, drawing an approving nod from USC coach Lane Kiffin.
