Astound to carry Pac-12 Networks in Bay Area

Subscribers to Enjoy Hundreds of Live Pac-12 Sporting Events When Networks Launch August 15
SAN FRANCISCO - Pac-12 Enterprises, the content and multiplatform media company for the Pac-12 Conference, has reached a new, long-term agreement with Astound for carriage of Pac-12 Bay Area to subscribers in the San Francisco area, announced Monday. Astound collectively serves over 325,000 subscribers in Washington, Oregon and Northern California, and will offer networks dedicated solely to the Pac-12 Conference and its member institutions.
Financial terms were not disclosed. One Pac-12 National Network and the Pac-12 Regional Network that aligns with customers' area college will be available to Astound Basic customers starting August 15, when the new networks launch. The new agreement allows subscribers to enjoy the hundreds of live sporting events, including football games, men's basketball games and other specialty content that will be featured on the Pac-12 Networks.

During the first few weeks of the 2012 football season, the Pac-12 Networks live football schedule will include matchups for Bay Area fans including home games for both Stanford and Cal in the first two weeks of the season.
